Pecha Kucha Night, Vol. 27

The night started out with wonderful weather (thanks Spring) as Knoxville's creative community made it's way to the Mill and Mine for Pecha Kucha Night.

Now, for those of you who aren't familiar with Pecha Kucha (you aren't alone), let me explain: It's a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images (basically a Powerpoint presentation that isn't going to put you to sleep). I'd encourage you to read more and listen to some presentations on their website.

This was only my second time attending one of these events and I have to say, I'm going to be back to all of them in the future.

I love the format, but more than that, the community that gathers at Pecha Kucha Night is amazing! The room was filled with those who are putting our city on their back and changing it for the better.
